Wana:
A curfew was announced in various regions of the bottom of southern Waziristan on Wednesday. According to a notification issued by the district administration, the curfew will remain in force from 6:00 to 7:00.
The notification, signed by sub-commissioner Muhammad Nasir Khan, said that article 144 had been imposed in several areas, including Tehsil Shakai, Tiarza Gate, Anzarchina, Azizabad Chowk, Tanai, Karb Kot and others.
During the curfew, all movements will be strictly prohibited and all markets, shops and shopping centers will remain closed.
The District Administration warned that anyone found that the violation of the curfew will face strict legal action under article 188 of the Pakistan penal code. Citizens were advised to remove their vehicles from the road at least 100 meters if they see a vehicle from the security forces, to prevent any unfortunate incident.
The administration called on the public to fully cooperate in the maintenance of the law and the order and to adhere strictly to the directives issued.
It should be noted that Tuesday, a curfew was also applied on the road to ADDA Angoor along the Pakistani-Afghanistan border, causing significant drawbacks to the public.
Meanwhile, public members have expressed concerns about notification of the curfew, suggesting that schoolchildren, emergency patients and vehicles carrying fruits, vegetables and essential products should be authorized to ensure the continuity of emergency services.
