Egyptian Foreign Minister to arrive in Islamabad today for two-day visit

The two sides will review overall bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international developments.

At the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty is undertaking a two-day official visit to Pakistan from Saturday (today).

During the visit, the Egyptian Foreign Minister will hold delegation-level meetings and talks with the Deputy Prime Minister.

The two sides will review overall bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international developments, including the situation in Gaza.

The visit reflects the long-standing cordial relations between Pakistan and Egypt, based on common faith, cultural affinities and shared perspectives on regional and international issues.

Earlier this month, Deputy Prime Minister Dar spoke with Minister Abdelatty, who expressed his condolences over the loss of precious lives during the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

They discussed regional developments, particularly in the Middle East and peace efforts in Gaza.

Dar also spoke with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi.
