Electricity consumers can obtain RS0,77 per relief unit

Islamabad:

Electricity consumers across the country could soon receive another financial relief, because a new RS0,77 reduction per unit (including taxes) in prices is expected in the next billing cycle.

The planned relief is the head of the quarterly price adjustment (QTA) and the adjustment of fuel prices (FPA).

The fourth quarterly adjustment for the year 2024-25 was submitted by Power Discos to the Nepra, which held a public audience on August 4.

Based on the hearing, the NEPRA is likely to approve a negative adjustment of Rs 1.89 per unit, which will be reflected in electricity bills for the months of August, seven and Oct.
