Pure American open champion Emma Raducanu said that she had suffered a physical reaction to the Dubai championships last month after being confronted with a man who was “set” on the young tennis star, which finally had local police.

“I saw him in the first game of the match and I said to myself:” I don’t know how I’m going to end up. “I could literally not see the ball through tears.
The WTA explained in a press release at the time that a “man who exposed fixed behavior” approached Raducanu in a public space. The next day, the same man was spotted in his match in the first lines.
According to the government of the Dubai media office, the man “left him a note” and also took a photo of her during one of these meetings.

“Following the complaint of Raducanu, Dubai police owned a tourist who approached him, left him a note, took his photo and embarked on a behavior that caused his distress at the Dubai free tennis championships,” the statement said.
According to in Reuters, The man approached him twice from the field in Dubai and had already been spotted during tournaments in Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Doha in the previous weeks.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was detained later but Raducanu chose to drop the loads against him.

“It was a very moving period,” she added. “After the match, I took tears, but not necessarily because I lost.”
The man was prohibited by WTA of all future tournaments “while waiting for a threat assessment.”
Raducanu received a five -year ban order against a man in London in 2022 after being found guilty of the hunt. The man appeared at her house on several occasions and left unwanted gifts. She was 19 at the time.
Raducana will face Moyuka Uchijima in Japan during her first tournament since the incident on Thursday.
