Cleveland Guardians All-Star, closer, the name of Emmanuel Clase was mentioned in commercial rumors before the deadline later this week, but it will be both sidelines for the moment.
Clase was placed on a non -Didisciplinary paid leave as part of Major League Baseball’s investigation into a sports scandal. He is the goalkeeper’s second launcher to be on leave in touch with the probe.
Luis Ortiz was put on non -disciplinary leave until August 31.

“According to an agreement with the MLBPA, the launcher of Cleveland Guardians, Emmanuel Clase, was placed on non -disciplinary paid leave in the matches on August 31 while MLB continues his investigation into sports betting. We will not comment more until the investigation is finished,” said MLB in a statement.
The Guardians said that no other player or staff were to be affected.
“The Guardians were informed by Major League Baseball that, as part of their investigation into sports betting, Emmanuel Clase was placed on non -disciplinary paid leave by agreement with the Association of Players,” said the team. “We have been informed that no additional club staff should be assigned.

“The guards are not allowed to comment more for the moment and will respect the league confidential investigation process when we continue to cooperate fully.”
Clase has finished 41 games at the top of the major leagues after leading the majors in this brand in the last three seasons. He had a 3.23 and 24 stops for Cleveland in 2025.
Last year, Clase was a star for the third time. He led the American League with 47 stops and achieved an incredible MPM of 0.61.
Ortiz’s investigation was linked to the bets of accessories at stake on two throws which he launched against the Seattle Mariners on June 15 and the Cardinals of St. Louis on June 27. A betting company of betting reported the possible problem and transmitted it to MLB.
