Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday, who expressed condolences on loss of life and general destruction caused by recent floods in Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported.
Erdogan transmitted the solidarity of Turkiye with the inhabitants of Pakistan during this difficult period and offered full assistance in the current rescue and rescue efforts. He reaffirmed that Turkey is firmly being held by Pakistan in times of crisis and is ready to provide full support.

Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked the Turkish president for his gesture, calling the conversation to reflect long -standing fraternal ties between the two nations. He noted that Pakistan and Turkiye have always supported themselves if necessary.
The two leaders also examined progress in strengthening strategic and economic cooperation between their country. They agreed to maintain close consultations and plan to meet on the sidelines of the next summit of leaders of the Shanghai cooperation organization in Tianjin, China.
