Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday that encourage the use of electric vehicles (VE) will help save billions of dollars in foreign trade spent on fuel, support environmental protection efforts and promote local industry.
President of a meeting on the encouragement of the use of electric vehicles in the country, the Prime Minister responsible for preparing a complete action plan at the government level to make electric vehicles accessible to the common citizen.
He announced that the federal government would provide electric bikes to the most efficient students of all educational councils across the country, including the Federal Council.
He also declared that the unemployed will receive electric rickshaws and chargers in priority, to support employment production.
A briefing was given in the meeting concerning the current status of industry in the country linked to the manufacture of electric vehicles and the government support measures to make them accessible to common people. He was informed at the meeting that the government took measures to facilitate the acquisition of electric bikes, ripe pousse and chargers through low-cost loans and easy terms.
More than 100,000 electric bikes and more than 300,000 and chargers will be made available to the public under easy and low cost loans thanks to the support of the government.
The meeting has been informed that as part of this program, students who work well at the intermediate level in educational advice across the country, including the Federal Council, will receive free electric bikes.
Public service
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underlined the need to align the country’s public service to modern technology and international public service standards, and its revitalization to improve efficiency.
The Prime Minister, presiding over a meeting on public service reforms, said the public service had played a key role in practical performance and effective implementation of government policies in various ministries and sectors.
The global and effective reform of the public service of a priority of the government, it oriented the inclusion of contributions from public representatives and those of civil servants in the administrative and institutional reforms of the public service.
Agri graduates
Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his pleasure because the first batch of around 300 graduates of Pakistani agriculture finished their practical practical training in China.
“Very encouraging to know that the first batch of approximately 300 graduates of Pakistani agriculture succeeded in their practical practical training in the Shaanxi province, in China,” wrote the Prime Minister on his calendar X.
Current account surplus
Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the increase in the current account surplus to $ 2.1 billion during the year 2024-2025.
In a statement, he said that the surplus of the current account had reached the highest level in the past 22 years, which was a very positive development.
“Due to government measures, exchange reserves have crossed $ 19 billion,” he added.
