Kayla Nicole says that she learned to take the “story check” after having faced a wave of hatred online last year.
The podcaster and journalist, who was released with another fiancée of Taylor Swift and Nfl Star Tavis Kelce admitted Thursday during the New York Fashion Week.
Nicole also shared that the greatest lesson she had learned about herself last year is that “the opinions of others are as great as you do”.
“So, if I don’t allow it, that’s just not the case,” she said People magazine. “You know what I mean? Sometimes, on social networks, we think it’s the whole world, and that is really not the case.”
“It is an application with some 100,000 million people, but you control the story, honestly, and if something keeps you, bogged down, turn it off,” continued Nicole. “Delete the application, connect. This is my biggest advice”
Nicole’s comments came for weeks after Kelce and Swift announced their commitment in August. In response, Nicole subtly shared a video of the actress traces Ellis Ross speaking of choosing joy rather than ephemeral happiness. “Happiness is something you can get at 7-Eleven, and joy is something you win and work and take practice.”
By thinking about this republication, Nicole said: “My God, I read a book years ago, but fundamentally, the idea is that happiness is ephemeral. Joy is something deep and eternal, and it is a choice every day. It resonates with me because it is something that I try to do in my life regularly.”
Since her separation from Kelce in 2022, Nicole has intentionally to go ahead. This included Brittany and Patrick Mahomes who commit themselves on Instagram – a decision that she previously explained. “The reality is that I know these people in real life,” she said earlier this year.
“And so, in real life, I communicated to these people why I had to publicly make the decisions I made.”
In April, she also revealed that she had not yet experienced a romance like fairy tales described in Disney films.
