Exclusive: this droid G1T4-M1N1 will follow you as R2-D2

Is it the droid you are looking for? Well, if you’ve looked for a freight carrier droid in the size of a pint that you can follow, Lucasfilm’s latest collaboration with Piaggio Fast Forward may well be the one you have sought.

Meet G1T4-M1N1, a special edition of Piaggio’s Gitamini Robot that sticks with standard bright yellow – perhaps a lemon green – a shell of a droid and throws personalized decals which give it the appearance of an astromech. You will find long arms like those of R2-D2 on the left and on the right, various gray forms giving it a shell and sensors in Gogo all around.

In addition, via the integrated speaker, Piaggio worked with Lucasfilm to design personalized droid sounds, so yes, various beeps and Boops, as well as a personalized lighting package, complete the Star Wars edition.

Apart from that, it is indeed the classic Gita with a stack of front sensors with two cameras that work like a pair and a second -color CMOS camera. All of this works in conjunction with AI models on a device to help the G1T4-M1N1 to recognize you and lock yourself, so that it can follow you and avoid obstacles.
