The Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) organized a seminar entitled “Evaluation of the renewed security challenges at CPEC post-Indo-Pak climbing”.
The event brought together practitioners, diplomats, decision -makers, experts, academics and intelligent who have collectively recommended strategic regional alliances, robust internal reforms, economic resilience, advanced security infrastructure and proactive diplomatic commitments to overcome current and emerging challenges to China Economic Corridist in Pakistan.
The former envoy of Pakistan in China, Naghmana Hashmi, linked an increased terrorism to broader geopolitical tensions, in particular Western apprehensions to the boom of China.
Analyzing how the recent Indo-Paks escalations dispelled the myths surrounding the military domination of India, which prompted Western powers to reconsider their strategic dependence on India, it urged complete internal reforms, in particular on socio-economic grievances in Baloutchistan.
Major-General (REPD), Dr. Samrez Salik, with a doctorate on CPEC, underlined the critical transformation of Pakistan from a state-centered state to an economically state, depends considerably on CPEC’s success.
