The team behind ExpressVPN has just published secure and free VPN software in order to provide premium confidentiality at no cost.
What PK Press Club criticisms have already evaluated as one of the best VPNs on the market, ExpressVPN, said it had built EventVPN as a direct response to an increase in low -quality VPN applications.
EventVPN mixes premium security features with an innovative advertising model in terms of confidentiality, while offering an unlimited bandwidth.
“Confidentiality should be a human right, not just limited to those who can pay it with money,” said Shay Peretz, chief of exploitation at ExpressVPN.
EventVPN is now available to download and use on the Apple Store app and delivered with full support for iOS 26 with standard glass compatibility.
Subscribers can opt for the free version, which includes a coverage for a device through servers in more than 35 countries, a paid version which is delivered with an allowance with eight peripherals and a network of servers in 125+ locations worldwide.
The problem with free VPNs
While social media prohibitions, censorship and other internet restrictions are increasing worldwide, more and more people are turning to virtual private network tools (VPN) to get around these obstacles and keep access to their favorite applications.
However, “whenever online confidentiality is threatened, downloads from dangerous VPN peaks,” said Peretz.
At best, unsecured free VPN applications will monetize your data to generate income and stay afloat on the market. This can happen by targeting you with intrusive announcements or follow -up technologies that can collect details on your online activities, then sell them to data brokers.
At worst, however, dangerous free VPNs are a serious threat to your data security.
For example, cybercriminals are increasingly using malicious free VPN applications to inject malware and other dangerous software in people’s devices.
Several studies have also discovered how certain free popular VPN applications at the top of Google and Apple stores can have unknown links with China or Russia.
Eventvpn – Everything we know
Eventvpn joins a handful of suppliers already offering a free VPN service, such as Proton VPN and Wireguard, which offer premium protection.
The service offers some of the best ExpressVPN features. These include a VPN policy without strict logarithm, a Kill switch, a post-health encryption and RAM servers only.
That said, the supplier claims that EventVPN is unique. This is because, as ExpressVPN explains in its official announcement, “[EventVPN] Do not count on a backend or a database to manage users. Instead, he uses validation of the Apple account and subscription receipts to confirm whether a user has an active subscription. “”
Once validated, EventVPN emits an anonymous access and connection token, the supplier explains, which allows users to connect with the infrastructure provided by ExpressVPN without directly managing personal user data.
EventVPN also has a confidentiality announcement model, which promises that “any advertising remains entirely separate and distinct from the equipment that makes VPN connections possible”.
