In order to relieve citizens during the sacred month of Ramadan, the administration of the Islamabad district announced the creation of 17 fair price stores across the city.
The initiative will allow residents to buy essential food at large prices, Express News reported.
The stores of the stores have been carefully chosen to ensure accessibility to the public. Notable areas include G-9 Center, i-8, F-8, E-11, F-10, F-11, G-13 and Barakahu. In addition, fair price stores will also be installed in areas like Bhara Kahu, Bani Gala, Pakistan Town, F-7, F-6, G-6, G-7, Lehtarar Road and I-11/4.
The Islamabad administration has delegated responsibilities to all assistant commissioners to supervise the proper functioning of these points of sale, ensuring that residents can benefit from subsidized prices during Ramadan.
This decision should bring an essential relief to citizens, especially during the month when the demand for food products generally increases.
In addition, the Punjab government has published a notification revising school hours for public and private institutions during the sacred month of Ramadan.
According to the notification, schools will start at 8:30 am and close at 1:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Friday, schools will end at 12:30 p.m. For double shift schools, the first quarter of work will work from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while the second quarter of work will start at 1:00 p.m. and will end at 4:00 p.m.
On Friday, the second quarter of work will start at 2:30 p.m. and will end at 5:00 p.m.
