Senator Faisal Vawda warned that a repression will soon start against those who conspire Pakistan and act at the request of foreign powers.
In an article shared on the X social media platform (formerly Twitter), Vawda said that Pakistan had never tolerated plots in the past and will not do it now. He said that the arrests of anti-state elements are imminent.
“I am currently abroad,” he wrote, “but positive news will start to emerge for Pakistan in May.”
He added that these positive developments would not come from the usual political districts but “somewhere else”.
Reiterating its position, Senator Vawda said that conspiracies against Pakistan will be treated firmly, and that the people involved in foreign agendas will be faced with strict action.
Earlier, the federal government set up a special team under the 2016 electronic prevention of electronic crimes (PECA) to limit crimes related to social media.
According to article 30 of PECA, the team operates under the supervision of the Islamabad IG police.
The JIT has collected substantial evidence suggesting that the accused was involved in the spread of propaganda on social networks, contributing to national instability.
Additional surveys are underway to identify additional suspects and bring appropriate legal action in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.
