Fake notification claims Indian actor Salman Khan signed up for Pakistan’s fourth schedule

A viral claim on social media claims that Pakistani authorities have issued a notification placing Bollywood actor Salman Khan fourth under the anti-terrorism law, after Khan allegedly spoke about Balochistan at a recent event in Saudi Arabia.

The fourth schedule is a list of individuals suspected of being terrorists or of having links to terrorist groups.

The statement is false. The notification is fabricated.

On October 25, a social media user posted a purported notification on X (formerly Twitter) showing the Balochistan government placing Indian actor Salman Khan on the fourth schedule.

The post claimed that Khan had called Balochistan an “independent nation” at a recent event.

The notification is self-generated and was not issued by Pakistani authorities, two officials and a digital investigation platform confirm.

Javed Ali, the section officer of the Ministry of Interior in Balochistan, said Geography Fact Check on the phone: “The document is completely false. »

Ali explained that he had issued a notice on October 16, listing a person’s name on the fourth roll. The notification was later amended, he added, to include the name of Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

A senior official from Balochistan, who spoke to PK Press Club Fact Check on condition of anonymity, also said that the notification was falsified.

Additionally, the viral notification contains multiple inconsistencies and grammatical errors. For example, “affiliate” is spelled “aftilisted” and the document says “the following names” when only one name is listed.
