The displaced families of the areas struck by the floods of Zahir Pir near Liaquatpur are evacuated to the embankment of Manchan on boats and ferries.
The chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, received the affected families landing boats during her visit to the region.
The chief minister congratulated the efforts of the 1122 rescue teams and the Province of Disaster Management (PDMA) for the ongoing rescue and rescue operations.
It ordered the competent authorities to make the use of life jackets and rings compulsory during all rescue and rescue operations
It was informed of the evacuation. The floods affected 35 villages on the outskirts of Liaquatpur, notably Noorwala, Gul Muhammad Langah, Dera Fareedi and Chohan.
The chief minister was informed that 84,721 residents and approximately 43 square kilometers of land had been seriously affected due to the current floods.
The officials said that to support the victims of the floods, six rescue camps, several medical camps, three boat clinics and 12 clinics on wheels had been installed.
They added that 12,604 people and 488 livestock had been evacuated from the suburban areas struck by Zahir Pir’s floods during the current rescue and rescue operations.
In the areas affected by the floods of Gul Muhammad Langah, a total of 52 boats with rescue and police teams had been deployed to facilitate rescue efforts.
On the instructions of the chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the main minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and the Minister of Health Khawaja Salman Rafic reached the bypass of Shujaabad early in the morning to visit Keep Drain.

Meanwhile, in a tragic incident at Basti Adam Wahan, Minshi Wala, Abdul Rehman, 14, drowned after slipping into flood waters standing in the fields.
Abdul Rehman was heading for the fields with his grandfather Mukhtar, son of Ghumlam Hussain, and Uncle Aqeel, son of Mukhtar, when he lost his foot and fell into the water. The rescue teams reached the site and, after a three -hour operation, recovered the body and put it back to the family.
The bereaved family confirmed that the boy had slipped into the water, leading to his drowning. Although article 144 is imposed by the district administration due to the flood situation, its application remains low and children are frequently seen swimming in flood waters in various regions.
Meanwhile, several Lodhran areas were overwhelmed as a result of violations of protective embankments. The district engineer of the Shakeel Ahmad district has supervised rescue operations in river areas today.
The 1122 rescue teams have managed to evacuate more than 1,000 flood victims stranded in safer places.
The teams also move cattle and household business in safety. Currently, 160 rescue 1122 staff, supported by 24 boats, are engaged in flood rescue operations in the district.
