Bad Bunny was selected to perform the half-time show of the Super Bowl LX on Sunday, and the choice did not really know NFL fans overnight.
The triple winner of a Grammy Award has become one of the most popular recording artists since he made his debut in the dominant current in 2016. But as the popularity of Porto Rican has developed, his platform too. Recently, he used it to express fears concerning the forces of American immigration and customs (ICE).

Bad Bunny said earlier this month that he had reserved no American date when he was feared that his fans will be held by ice agents.
“But there was the problem of – like, the F — ING ice could be outside [my concert]. And that’s something we were talking about and very concerned about, “he told ID.
In June, he recorded and published a video of what he described as local ice raids on social networks in Puerto Rico.
“Listen, these mothers —– are in these cars, Rav-4. They are here in Pontezuela,” he said in Spanish, mentioning the work ice on Avenida Pontezuela en Caroline, a city east of the capital of Puerto Rico, San Juan.

NFL fans did not seem impatient to see Bad Bunny in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Before Sunday’s announcement, Bad Bunny wrote on his page X that he would make at least one date in the United States
“I thought about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I will only do one date in the United States,” he wrote.

Super Bowl LX is scheduled for February 8, 2026.
