Thomas Markle, the distant father of Meghan, from the Duchess of Sussex, celebrated his 81st birthday on Friday, without any contact of his daughter or access to his grandchildren.

Despite his efforts, the two remain distant and he has not yet met Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the children of Meghan with Prince Harry.
