Fazlur Rehman warns against protests concerning the ban on the marriage of minors

The head of Jui-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned the bill proposing to ban minor marriages, warning that not to withdraw this could force his party to descend in the streets, Express News reported.

Speaking on Monday in the National Assembly, Rehman criticized the bill of the bill, arguing that the country needs unity and solidarity, and not controversy. “It’s time to promote national cohesion, but the government is advancing a division bill,” he said.

Referring to the bill which prohibits marriage for people under the age of 18, he questioned the need to introduce such legislation at this critical moment. “If I oppose the bill, people will thank my position, but I have to raise their voice,” he said.

He urged the president of the National Assembly to make a decision against the bill and warned the government not to compel his party to protest on the street. “It would be preferable to stop this legislation and refer it to the Islamic ideology council. If they find no objection, I too will not have it,” he added.

Addressing recent regional tensions, Rehman said that the whole country and parliament are united to condemn the aggression of India. He denounced the rapid blame of India on Pakistan following the Pehalgame incident in Jammu-et-Cachemire occupied by India without conducting any investigation.

“India has launched missiles targeting our civil and religious sites, saying that they attacked terrorist hiding places. They blamed us for their own security failures,” he said.

He congratulated the armed forces of Pakistan for their rapid and effective response, declaring: “If our military establishment admits that he cannot fight without national support, we must ensure unity. India has initiated the assault, but our soldier’s response will remain in history. ”

Chief Jui-F also paid tribute to the forces of Pakistan, stressing the need to maintain unity even after a cease-fire. “The Parliament of India is laughing at its own leadership. Modi is isolated, without public support. To save the face, it can resort to such tactics,” he warned.

“We have organized gatherings to break the climate of fear and demonstrate national unity. We have shown the world that the inhabitants of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balutchistan are very lively,” he concluded.
