Islamabad:
To a disciplinary extent, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) rejected 13 officials for alleged negligence and breach of the functions related to the tragedy of the Greek boat 2024.
Officials include 1 inspector, 2 sub-inspectors, 2 head agents and 8 police officers.
In addition, the promotions of three agents were interrupted as part of the internal responsibility process.
According to the director general of the FIA, Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir, strict measures are taken against FIA officials involved in illegal activities. “Officials operating innocent citizens are not entitled to any leniency,” he said.
