Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met the military staff chief on Friday, Marshal Syed Asim Munir and discussed regional security, the fight against terrorism and questions of mutual interest, said a press release published by Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR).
The two parties expressed their commitment to advance peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
The two parties also reaffirmed their determination to strengthen the strategic partnership in all times and to improve the coordination of regional and international forums.
Yi reiterated the firm support of China to the sovereignty and development of Pakistan. The COAS expressed its gratitude for the constant support of China.
Meanwhile, the Chinese Foreign Minister left on Friday after finishing his official three -day visit to Pakistan.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Ishaq Dar, saw the Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, with the Pakistan ambassador to Beijing and his Chinese counterpart also present, as well as senior government officials.
