- The Beako Kiwibit Bird Feeder camera launches on Amazon on May 20
- It offers a 4K video – it’s in more detail than our current favorites
- It also has unique design features, including a post accessory
We have reviewed most of the best bird food cameras, and this is the kind of technology that we can really take – literally get closer to nature by offering a close view of your feathered garden visitors.
Designed to be left in situ for months and even years, the bird feeders came to the movement when they detect the movement, offering live views and capturing videos from your BirdLife of the Garden. The novelty of remote view and bird notifications does not wear out.
However, to date, there has been an area where most of the bird feeder cameras are short, even our favorite options like The Bird Buddy, and this is the image quality – but that could be set to change with the new Beako Kiwibit.
According to the Camojojo, which we have not yet tested, the Kiwibit records the real 4K video and the 8MP fixed images – it is much more details than what is currently possible with our best rated bird feeding cameras, which maximize half the resolution.
And that’s not all. There are fairly clever design features that we have not seen before, and which could make the kiwibit one of the most versatile bird feed cameras available.
Designed for any garden
Like most of today’s bird feeding cameras, the weather -resistant kiwibit is armed with bird recognition powered by AI, informing you which birds have visited in a database greater than 10,000 species, and it can be associated with a solar panel for continuous power.
It also has detergents of pests, which are particularly useful if squirrels frequent your garden. However, these features are not new, and the kiwibit goes a step further than most, with several mounting options.
In addition to the usual wall assembly and mounting options, Kiwibit has a pole mount on its underwear, which means that it can be autonomous anywhere in your garden without needing something to attach it – neat.
But that’s not all. The seed tray is removable for easy cleaning, the more 1.5 L’s double seed compartment can be removed for easy refills and cleaning. There is also an adjustable flow control to limit the amount of seeds in the tray.
Regarding the features, he has the impression that the Beako Kiwibit has left no stone not turned over, even if the integrated solar panel of Scout Feathersnap looks smooth and that Wi-Fi connectivity is only 2.4 GHz.
Initially, the Kiwibit is launched in the United States only on Amazon and the Beako website on May 20, with a first transaction of $ 167.99 available.
We have not yet finished examining the kiwibit – watch this in the coming months. Hopefully the kiwibit holds its noble promise of “unrivaled details”.
