- Airpods pro design details 3 leakage box
- Accessories manufacturers say it will have a touch button to combine / reset
- I think it’s a shame, but probably because Airpods 4 has made this change
We expect the highly anticipated AirPods Pro 3 to be unveiled soon – probably at the Apple event on September 9, 2025, which will surely also be the start of the iPhone 17 – so what was surprising is that few leaks there were on the new headphones.
Despite Appleās famous secret, almost all of its products disclose in one way or another – but Airpods Pro 3 has largely remained in the shadows, apart from several claims that they will have integrated heart rate sensors.
However, we can finally have a leak in the design of the headphones, graciousness of the manager of Majinbu. The publication has been maintained with accessory manufacturers, who provided images and said that the case for new AirPods can be slightly smaller than the case for AirPods Pro 2 (although the dimensions given in the image below suggest a very Similar size to the current case).
They said the case would always include the loop of the lanyard that you also find on the current Airpod Pro 2 case.
But they also highlighted another change they are waiting for: the deletion of the button from the rear of the case in favor of a touch panel at the front, and I am not a fan of this idea.
It seems inevitable – AirPods 4 from last year and AirPods 4 with an active noise cancellation has made this change, so it is not surprising that Apple is doing here – but I think the physical button is important.
The button on AirPods is used to put them in twinning mode with non -layer devices, or to reset them if they have major problems – and this is this second point which means that I want to keep a physical button instead of an invisible touch panel.
If your airpods do not answer for any reason, you can press the physical button on the back until they reset, and know that it is likely to repair them. More importantly, you know you do the process correctly because you can say that you have depressed the button – you feel the movement.
If you need to reset non -reactive airpods using a touch panel, and nothing seems to happen, you end up with uncertainty. Have you reached the wrong place or don’t you reset yourself?
In the design of the user experience, there is a concept called “Awardances”. These are the ways in which a product or software tells you that something can be done, or that something is happening.
A physical button is a natural abundance; You know it can be in a hurry when you see it, and you can feel when you’ve pressed it. The airpods touch button can use light or sounds as a drafting to say that you have supported it, but it depends on the electronics that answers just as planned – and if you have the point where you must reset them, this may not be the case. I think something as important as a reset should have physical controls, but I am old -fashioned in this way.
In any case, he still does not tell us about the AirPods Pro 3 as a whole. I expect better sound quality, an improved active noise cancellation, a new H3 chip that feeds them, a kind of sophisticated intelligent functionalities linked to this chip, and probably at a higher price, given the larger prices in industry in recent years. They will probably also be the best AirPods published to date.
We will probably discover it in a few weeks anyway. I’m sure the search for a button will not be at the top of your priority list, but hey – at least it is more confirmation that they are probably coming soon.
