Sid Meier 7 civilization Dataminers have discovered a fourth age which could see the age system of the game developing in a future update or expansion.
As spotted by IGN, a user on the Civilization Subreddit has shared evidence that atomic age will be added to the game to join CIV 7The current three ages: Antiquity, exploration and modern.
Currently, the game is divided in these three ages that players can progress, then the game will end just before the Cold War. Redditor ‘ManbyTheriver11’ said that the game files had something called the “atomic age shell”, suggesting that a fourth age is on the way.
“Thus, a person in the community of our country found this file within the Civilization 7 File called ‘Asset Cloud.env’. And there was a lot of interesting data inside, “said the Redditor.
Alongside New Age, they also listed the names of leaders who could soon be presented, such as Edward Teach, Aka Blackbeard, the Moroccan Corsair of the 16th century Sayyida al-Hurra, and the president of the Maories women’s league, Whina Cooper Cooper .
There were also suggestions for new civilizations, notably Iceland, the Ottoman, the Pirate Republic, the Maori and the Tonga.
A fourth age, alongside these new features, has not yet been announced by Firaxis, however, the developer has teased his future plans in a recent interview with IGN, but could not offer any confirmation of recent leaks.
“You can imagine the possibilities with it, honestly,” said Civilization 7 Executive producer Dennis Shirk. “The way the design team has configured it so that each age is suffocated with systems, visuals, units, civ, all specific at this age, and what you could do with that and where you could Take it … We can’t talk about details.
