RAWALPINDI:

Rescue and firefighting teams were dispatched on Monday after a fire broke out at a garment manufacturing factory in Rawat Industrial Area of ​​Rawalpindi.

A statement from Rescue 1122 said more than 45 personnel, along with 13 emergency vehicles, arrived at the scene and were engaged in firefighting operations to bring the fire under control.

He said the fire was of large scale and fire-fighting operations were continuing with firefighters from the department from all districts dispatched to the scene.

“Other emergency firefighters were dispatched to the scene,” the statement said, adding that the cause of the fire is not yet known.

He said other fire services and the Water and Sanitation Agency were also called to the scene.
