The Phoenix Suns dismissed Mike Budenholzer on Monday after a single season, the team announced.
ESPN first pointed out this decision.
“The competition at the highest level remains our goal, and we have not met expectations this season. Our fans deserve better. A change is necessary,” said the team.

Phoenix has made huge movements in the past two seasons to try to return to the photo of the NBA championship. It started with the acquisition of Kevin during Brooklyn Nets, and was followed by the Bradley Beal trade in Washington Wizards.

Budenholzer came from the Milwaukee Bucks after his shocking departure. He led the Bucks for a victory for the NBA against the Suns.
Phoenix will now enter an off -season filled with uncertainty and their clever movements have finally come to turn around. The choice of the first round of the Suns was exchanged with the Houston Rockets, who will have the opportunity to have a selection of lottery despite one of the best teams of the Western Conference.

The Suns have not done the conference championship since 2021. They dropped three coaches in three years.
