Fires break at the shopping center in Clifton, Karachi

A fire broke out in a shopping center located near Teen Talwar in the Clifton region in Karachi at the Tuesday hours. Fire control officials said the fire had been prevented from spreading to other parts of the building.

According to sources, the affected shopping center has several clothing stores.

Firemen officials said the fire broke out on the first floor of the building.

The conflagration occurs almost two months after a huge night fire on a furniture market in the port city, eliminating more than 30 stores before being under control.

Shortly after starting the fire, the fire service sent 12 fire -fighting vehicles which are actively engaged in the operation to extinguish the fire.

Police said the fire broke out on the first floor of the square, which then engulfed several stores. However, there has been no report of victims so far.

The owners of stores and merchants remove their goods from stores on the basis of self-assistance to prevent it from being consumed by the flames.

No injury or victim has been reported so far. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain clear at this stage. However, the police suggested that the fire could have been caused by a short circuit.

Firefighters are currently on the scene, working to master the situation. During the operation, a firefighter experienced a medical emergency due to an intense suffocation. He was precipitated in a nearby health establishment.

The fire previous on December 31 of last year took place on the furniture market located near Kamran Chowrangi in the Gulistan-E-Jauhar region of the metropolis.

A few days before the fire of the last day of the year, a massive Inferno broke out in a several floor building on the Ma Jinnah road on December 19, marking the second building fire incident in just two weeks.

The same building, Rima Plaza, has already witnessed a fire on December 3. The fire broke out in an apartment on the first floor before spreading to the upper parts of the building.
