Pakistan will start its 33 -day hajj flight operation on Tuesday, with six flights that should leave for Saudi Arabia on the first day, media reported on Monday.

This year, nearly 89,000 Pakistani are expected to carry out the HAJJ as part of the government program, while additional 23,620 will move to private tour operators. The annual pilgrimage is expected to take place in June.

“The Hajj flight operation to an air transport aircraft in pilgrims in Saudi Arabia begins [Tuesday]”Said Radio Pakistan in his report.

On the opening day, two flights will start from Lahore and one of Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta and Multan. The final flight as part of the government program will leave on May 31. Pilgrims traveling within the framework of the government program will be transported by a total of 342 flights.

About 50,500 Pakistani pilgrims will benefit from the initiative of the Makkah itinerary in Saudi Arabia, which rationalizes immigration procedures by allowing travelers to complete their home authorization before leaving. The initiative, launched in 2019, is currently operational in Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco and Bangladesh.

As part of the Makkah Route initiative, 28,000 pilgrims will leave Islamabad and 22,500 from Karachi. Although the final final figures are not yet confirmed, the projections suggest that the HAJJ 2025 could see a record attendance of more than 2.5 million Muslims gathering for the pilgrimage.
