London: a charity held the very first IFTAR open inside the state apartments of the castle of Windsor in the 1,000 years of the castle.

St George’s Hall, a world -renowned for the reception of state banquets, welcomed more than 360 guests from all back to mark the first 2025 Open Iftar event organized by Ramadan Tent Project in collaboration with Royal Collection Trust, the charitable organization that welcomes visitors to official royal residences.

It is the first event of its kind to mark the sacred Muslim month of Ramadan inside the state apartments of the largest and the oldest occupied castle in the world in the world, and the first Iftar rally held in the room, which was built in the 14th century under the reign of King Edward III.

Open Iftar has so far gathered more than a million people across the United Kingdom and has seen some of the best known sites in Great Britain open their doors to visitors from all faiths and to any, to promote the community, inclusiveness and cultural exchanges during Ramadan.

Simon Maples, director of visitors’ operations (London and Windsor) at the Royal Collection Trust, said: “This year, we are organizing the event in St George’s Hall, the largest of the magnificent state apartments of the castle, where state banquets generally take place – which means that we can accommodate more than 350 guests to share an Iftar meal together in this historic framework.”
