- Last week, Fitbit users experienced a breakdown that prevented application connections and watch synchronization
- The problem was solved quickly, but the problems persisted for an apparently low user percentage
- We received more emails this weekend, both on this persistent problem and other problems that Fitbit users have
Last week, from July 17, Fitbit users reported mass problems, because the application prevented users from synchronizing their watches and their fitness trackers – and when the users followed the recommended Fitbit repair stages and disconnected from the application, this would not allow them to connect again.
The problems arose, that users were shaking one of the best Fitbits, an older model or a Google Pixel watch, and I largely covered the breakdown of a live blog. Google contacted to confirm that the problem was resolved later on the same day, and DowndeTector reports returned to normal.
However, even after the end of the blog, we received e-mails from readers who say their devices that will still not synchronize with the Fitbit application.
Wendy sent an email on July 19, two days after the breakdown of the breakdown, to say: “I tried to synchronize all day. I have known a level of blood oxygen … I don’t know what my number was last night because it will not synchronize.”
Lloyd sent an email to let us know that his fitbit would not synchronize with the application on his iPhone 11, Ann could not define the right time on his watch (it is also likely that the result of a synchronization problem, because this is done by twin with your phone), and other users have been written to say that their best fitness trackers would not synchronize properly.
In a thread on Reddit entitled Someone else with still synchronization problems? Eight other people have sounded with their comments, all saying that they always have problems after the deployment of the corrective. In another thread entitled How Fitbits now? The most opposite comment was this:
“The past few weeks have been horrible. Synchronization problems constantly with the application and they had a major breakdown yesterday which, according to them, is solved but I still have problems … I would honestly go Garmin at this stage.”
It is important to put these problems in perspective: although it is very regrettable that all the users mentioned above have devices, they are not temporarily incapable of using (some of them probably with premium fitbit subscriptions that they pay), it seems that they are a relatively low minority of users, with Google which solved the wider problem.
However, this does not help you if your device cannot synchronize or is brick. Many people have finally contacted us, a lot with continuous problems that seem separated from the failure.
Phil in Hong Kong wrote to say: “My fitbit has not worked for a week. It has done strange things as after my alarm clock, it is said that I have reached 10,000 steps or that I do not read my sleep.
“It’s actually really boring and it is the third time that I have encountered problems with Fitbit and I continue to think if I go to an Apple watch.”
Phil’s response is reproduced by Linda, declaring: “I tried all the troubleshooting methods with the same results. About two weeks ago, I ordered a 2nd generation of Apple Watch.”
The reason why people are so disappointed when their devices are not working is that people like to use their fitbits. He creates a committed community of users with similar views that seek to stay in shape, follow their sleep and health and exercise.
It is an excellent tool, and for most people, it works very well. There are many reasons why, even in the face of certain persistent problems, Fitbit remains synonymous with activities monitoring.
For those who experience current difficulties that cannot be resolved by usual troubleshooting, the best thing to do is contact the Fitbit Help Center.
