Hogan made sporadic appearances in WWF, then WWE in the early 2000s, but when the company pushed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to be its next star, The Rock found himself face to face with a legend.
The decibels of the Toronto Rogers Center reached that of the Home Run by Joe Carter in 1993, while the two clashed, and sadly turned in both directions to address the crowd.
In the end, The Rock came out in the lead, which is often a sign of respect for the older wrestlers of the company – but the two shared several embraces in the ring and passed the crowd in the middle of their sign of unity.
