Torrential rains and sudden floods in the last two days have killed at least 18 people and several other people who have disappeared through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, which caused emergency responses and warnings of more rain to come.

According to the Declaration of the Province of Management of Disaster Management (PDMA) on Wednesday, 13 deaths have been reported so far in KP alone due to rain -related incidents in the last 48 hours.

Among the deceased are nine children, three women and a man. Three others, including two children and a woman, were injured.

The preliminary report of PDMA preliminary damage revealed that 19 houses were assigned to the province, with 17 partially damaged and two completely destroyed.

The incidents were reported in the districts of Swat, Biner, Bajaur, Torghar, Upper Kohistan, Mardan, Kurram, Haripur, Mansehra, Upper Chitral, Malakand and Shangla.

Swat has become the most affected district in the last 48 hours, with sudden floods and the collapse of a house affirming the lives of six children and a woman, while another woman and a child were injured.

In Biner, three deaths were reported in the middle of intense precipitation accompanied by thunder and lightning.

A woman and her child lost her life after being struck by lightning, while an eight -year -old boy was swept away during the showers. “The corpse was recovered by the inhabitants,” confirmed the PDMA.

Strong precipitation in Bajaur led to another tragedy, where two brothers, aged 21 and five, lost their lives. “Their mother was successfully rescued while the bodies of the two brothers were recovered,” said the PDMA cited the office of the deputy commissioner of Bajaur.

Elsewhere, a woman died at the top of Kohistan and a child was torghar after the roof of a house collapsed due to persistent rain.

Meanwhile, the situation is just as disastrous in GB as the sudden floods in the Babusar region continue to cause a general devastation, 10 to 15 people feared sweeping and disappearing.

The GB government has urged tourists to immediately postpone travel plans in the region.

Speaking on a television program, GB government spokesperson, Faizullah Faraq, confirmed that massive damage had occurred due to persistent rains and floods. He said all tourists blocked on the Babusar road had been successfully rescued and had received free accommodation in coordination with local hotel owners and the administration.

All tracks to Naran and Kaghan remain closed, while the Karakoram highway was blocked at two major points, leaving thousands of travelers blocked. The Silk Road is open for small vehicles, and catering work to Bisham is underway at its own pace.

Faraq called on citizens to refrain from going to GB until the situation stabilizes. He added that the GB chief minister would visit the most affected areas, including Babusar, to assess the damage and supervise rescue measures.

Meanwhile, the Director General of the Meteorological Department warned against new intense precipitation in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan in the coming days.

He described the loss of lives at Babusar Top as tragic and warned that time can cause new destruction.

In Diamer, the authorities declared an emergency after five people lost their lives due to flood waters.

Earlier, several tourists were taken to Babusar Top and rescue operations are still underway.

In addition, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a warning for rain forces / Thunders across the country across the country, with the possibility of heavy falls to very heavy in various regions, triggering concerns concerning sudden floods, urban floods and landslides.

According to the latest forecasts, Rain-Wind / Thundershower is expected in cashmere, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and northeast Baloutchistan. The parts of the southern country will remain mainly warm and humid.

The Met Office warned of potentially dangerous conditions this evening and throughout Wednesday. Strong rains can generate sudden floods in local streams and draws in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Buniner, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Mirree, Galliyat, Islamabad / Rawalpindi, Hill Tormente of Dera Ghazii Khan, North Punjab, and Kashmin.

Urban floods are feared in the low areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Siackot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Okara, Nowshera and Peshawar due to strong showers. Field landslides and mud shifts can cause road blockages in the vulnerable hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murriyat, Cashmire and Gilgit-Baltistan. Wind storms and strong lightnings can damage weak structures such as roofs and walls of kacha houses, electric posts, display panels, vehicles and solar panels.

In Islamabad, a partially cloudy time with a rain / Thundershower is expected, with chances of heavy falls.

At the attention, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Rain-Wind / Thundershower in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbotbad, Swabi, Bajaur, Kurram, Kurram Karak, Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan. Falls are probably in upper neighborhoods.

In Punjab, Rain-Wind / Thundershower is expected in Rawalpindi, Murrier, Galiyat, Chakwal, Attock, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Lahore, Sheikhura and Shakarharh.

The isolated rain wind / Thundershower is also probably in Kasur, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Multan, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Layyah, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Kot Addu, Taunsa Sharif and the surrounding areas.

In the Sindh, the mainly hot and humid weather will persist in most parts, with partially cloudy conditions and chances of light rain or burnt in coastal areas. In Balutchistan, hot and humid conditions are expected in most districts, while the shapes of isolated rain / Thunders are probably in Barkhan, Kohlu, Musakhel, Loralai, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbella and the neighboring regions. In cashmere and gilgit-baltistan, a partially cloudy time with rain mines is expected, as well as heavy falls in certain regions of cashmere.
