FO Reaffirms zero tolerance to terrorism

Islamabad:

On Friday, Pakistan strongly reiterated its unwavering commitment to fighting terrorism in all its forms and demonstrations, calling for an objective and collective global action against the threat, while rejecting politically motivated accounts aimed at slandering the country.

In a statement published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan reiterated its “zero tolerance policy towards terrorism in all forms and demonstrations”, stressing that it was a “front line in the global fight against terrorism”.

The press release underlined Pakistan’s contributions to international efforts to combat terrorism, including the recent arrest of Sharifullah, the alleged brain of the abbey attack.

“Pakistan has actually dismantled the terrorist outfits, arrested and continued their leadership and de -tied their executives,” said the statement, adding that any LET link with the pahalgam incident “denies the realities of the soil”.

The ministry noted that investigations on Pahalgam’s attack on April 22, which killed 26 civilians, remain not very conclusive. “The incident occurred in a region disputed under the occupation of India, and attempts to link Pakistan are politically motivated,” the statement added.
