Islamabad:
Pakistan on Wednesday “categorically rejected” Indian affirmations made during a parliamentary debate on the so-called “Sindoor Operation”, accusing New Delhi of distorting facts, glorified the aggression and pursuing the interior political mileage through provocative accounts.
In an official statement published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the spokesman said that the statements made by Indian leaders during the Lok Sabha debate reflected a “dangerous tendency” to distort the truth and justify the unilateral aggression.
“Pakistan categorically rejects baseless affirmations and provocative allegations made by Indian leaders during Lok Sabha’s debate on the so-called” Operation Sindoor “,” said the spokesperson. “These declarations reflect a dangerous tendency to distort facts, justify aggression and glorify conflicts for domestic consumption.”
Islamabad argued that India made strikes inside Pakistan in the night between May 6 and 7, 2025, without presenting verifiable evidence or conducting a credible investigation into the Pahalgam attack. The press release indicates that Indian strikes led to the martyrdom of innocent men, women and children.
“India has not achieved any of its strategic objectives. On the other hand, the resounding success of Pakistan to neutralize Indian fighter planes and military targets is an undeniable fact,” added the spokesperson.
The spokesman also opposed the remarks of the Indian Minister of India during the session, questioning the credibility of the events of the Indian government. “Instead, it’s [India] Choose the path of belligerent and assault. He acted as a judge, jury and executioner at the same time. “”
In this context, the spokesperson continued, any claim concerning the so-called “ Mahadev operation ” did not “know any meaning for us”, adding: “Is it a simple coincidence that the alleged perpetrators of the attack by Pahalgam were killed at the start of Lok Sabha’s debate?”
“The report by the Indian Minister of India is filled with manufacturing, which leads to serious questions about his credibility,” the statement said. He recalled that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had offered an immediate and transparent investigation into the pahalgam incident, which India refused, opting rather for what it called “belligerent and attack”.
On the broader bilateral front, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected India’s speech to establish a so-called “new normal” in relations, insisting that the only acceptable framework is based on mutual respect and international standards.
“As we have already shown through our actions resolved in May 2025, to counter any future aggression. For us, the only normal ” in bilateral relations is respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and adherence to the principles and objectives of the Charter of the United Nations,” said the press release.
Responding to the Indian allegations of “nuclear blackmail”, the spokesperson called the “misleading and selfish” story, saying that the deterrence of Pakistan was based on conventional capacities and guided by the restraint.
The ministry also expressed its concern concerning India’s decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty (IWT), qualifying it as a violation of international law.
