Islamabad:

Pakistan firmly rejected the unfounded affirmations made by the Indian leaders during the recent debate of Lok Sabha on the so-called “Operation Sindoor”. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, declarations are part of a wider scheme to distort the facts, justify the aggression and glorify conflicts for national purposes.

On Friday, at a press conference on Friday, FO spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said that India’s attack on Pakistan, targeting the so-called terrorist infrastructure, led to the loss of innocent life. Despite this, Pakistan has succeeded in neutralizing Indian fighter planes and military targets, stressing the failure of the military objectives of India.

“The world knows that India has attacked Pakistan without any verifiable evidence or credible investigation into Pahalgam attack,” he said. “The actions of Pakistan in the defense of its territory were indisputable, and we strongly reject other claims concerning the so-called” Operation Mahadev “,” he added.

The spokesperson also criticized India for rejecting Pakistan’s offer for a transparent independent investigation into the Pahalgam attack. Instead of looking for diplomatic solutions, India has increased tensions, which prompted Pakistan to call for the recognition of military losses from India and the role of third parties in securing the ceasefire, the press release said.

Pakistan has always rejected India’s rhetoric on the establishment of a “new standard” in bilateral relations. Khan reiterated that for Pakistan, the “normal” in relations must be based on respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and adhesion to international law, as indicated in the Charter of the United Nations. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to counter any future assault, as evidenced in May.

The FO spokesperson also rejected the claims of India “nuclear blackmail”, calling it a tactic to obscure the own climbing actions of India. He said that Pakistan’s deterrence is based on his conventional capacities, highlighting his principles of discipline and restraint.

With regard to the Industry Water Treaty, Pakistan firmly condemned India’s decision to suspend the agreement, describing it as a violation of international commitments. Khan urged India to immediately honor its obligations under the treaty.

He also expressed his concern about India’s dependence on disinformation and nationalist rhetoric, warning that such actions endanger regional stability. “Nevertheless, Pakistan remains attached to peace, stability and significant dialogue to solve long-standing problems, including the Jammu and cashmere dispute,” he said.

The briefing also underlined the diplomatic activities of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, who visited the United States from July 20 to 28. The FO mentioned that during his mandate as president of the United Nations Security Council, DAR chaired an improvement session on the improvement of cooperation between the UN and the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC).

On regional issues, the FO spokesperson praised the positive conclusion of the special meeting of Malaysia on the Cambodian-Thailand situation, expressing the hope of a peaceful diplomatic resolution.

He also commented Pakistan with the successful launch of his remote sensing satellite at the Xichang satellite launch center in China. The satellite will considerably improve the capacities of Pakistan in town planning, disaster management, agricultural surveillance and research on climate change, he added.

The spokesman also said that Pakistan had considered the next state visit to the Iranian president, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian this weekend. The visit, marking his first official visit to Pakistan as president, is expected to consolidate the strong and lasting relationship between the two nations, he said.

The briefing ended with a summary of Pakistan’s continuous commitment to regional cooperation, including its dialogues with senior officials from China, Iran and Turkey, reaffirming the accent put by Pakistan on the promotion of peace and stability through South Asia and beyond.

Answering a question about Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, the spokesman rejected speculation that Pakistan had changed his position. “There is no change in policy,” said the spokesperson. “The government continues to continue its case through diplomatic, legal and humanitarian channels.”

He reiterated that the government has always continued the case of Dr Siddiqui since his conviction in 2010, employing high -level diplomacy, consular access, legal assistance and lenient calls to put pressure for his release from the American guard.

“Attempts on social networks to distort government’s efforts in this regard are regrettable,” he added. “Pakistan will continue to continue all diplomatic and legal channels to guarantee the release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui while confirming international law and bilateral cooperation.”
