Islamabad:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO) categorically categorically rejected the remarks made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi concerning the situation in the Indians illegally occupied the Jammu and the Kashmir (iiojk), calling them “without foundation and misleading”.

FO responded to Modi’s address in Iiojk earlier in the day, during which he accused Pakistan of attacking the identity of humanity and cashmere by targeting tourists in Pahalgam.

In a statement, the FO said that such comments were a deliberate attempt to divert international attention from the serious and persistent human rights violations committed by Indian forces in the region.

“It is deeply regrettable that the Indian Prime Minister has again launched unfounded allegations against Pakistan concerning the Pahalgam incident, without proposing proof,” the statement said.

The declaration has reaffirmed the long-standing position of Pakistan that Jammu-et-Cachemire is an internationally recognized contested territory, the final status of which must be determined in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (USC) and the wishes of the Curse people.

“Declarations and complaints cannot modify the legal and historical reality of the Jammu and cashmere dispute,” he added.

Responding to India’s development claims on occupied territory, the FO declared that these assertions contrast with the situation on the ground, which is marked by a strong military presence and a systematic abolition of fundamental rights.

“There are arbitrary arrests carried out, and systematic efforts are underway to modify the demographic composition of IIOJK, in clear violation of international law, including the Geneva conventions,” said the press release.

The FO has also reiterated the support of the principles of Pakistan to the cashmere people in their legitimate struggle for the right to self -determination. “Pakistan remains firm in its support for the inhabitants of Jammu-et-Cachemire and their inalienable right to self-determination,” he added.

He also called the international community, in particular the United Nations and the global human rights organizations, to hold India responsible for its actions and to ensure that the Kashmir people obtain their rights in accordance with international law and CSNU resolutions.

Earlier in the day, Modi alleged that Pakistan had targeted tourists in Pahalgam as part of a “conspiracy” to cause municipal problems and disrupt the economic lines of the region. “Pakistan is against humanity, tourism and the means of subsistence of the Kashmiris and therefore attacked tourists in Pahalgam,” he said.

He described the attack as an assault on “insaniyat And Cashmere“, Adding that” India will not bow to terrorism “and that young people in the region were united in the fight against it.
