ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan on Thursday categorically rejected unfounded and misleading allegations that members of the Hindu community had been denied entry into its territory.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said in a statement: “These claims are completely baseless and represent yet another attempt to distort the facts and politicize a matter of a purely administrative nature. »
He was responding to media queries regarding allegations that some members of the Hindu community had been denied entry into Pakistan.
“On November 4, 2025, a total of 1,932 pilgrims managed to enter Pakistan through the Attari-Wagah border. It is pertinent to note that around 300 visa holders were stopped by the Indian authorities from crossing. The entire immigration process on the Pakistani side took place smoothly, in an orderly manner and without any hindrance,” he added.
He said: “A very small number of people had incomplete documents and were unable to provide satisfactory answers to immigration authorities. Therefore, they were asked to return to the Indian side as per standard procedures. »
