Due to dense fog and zero visibility in various parts of the country, several sections of highways have been temporarily closed to ensure the safety of travelers.

According to a statement by Motorway Police Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmad, the following highways were closed due to fog: M-2 (Lahore to Haran Minar), M-3 (Lahore to Dera Khana), M-4 (Pindi Bhattian to Multan), M-5 (Multan to Rohri) and Lahore-Sialkot highway M-11.

The spokesperson further advised the public to follow safety precautions, avoid lane violations as they can lead to accidents and ensure adherence to lane discipline.

Travelers are encouraged to favor daytime travel, with the best travel times being between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. during fog.

Drivers are advised to use front and rear fog lights, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front and avoid unnecessary travel.

For assistance, citizens can contact the motorway police helpline on 130.
