Forces neutralize 7 terrorists in Di Khan

The security forces eliminated seven terrorists belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-E-Taliban prohibited (TTP) on Saturday during an intelligence-based operation in the Kulachi region in the Dera Ismail Khan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to a press release published on Sunday by inter-service public relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following TTP presence reports in the region.

“During the operation, the own troops actually hired Khwarij’s place and, consequently, seven Khwarij sponsored by the Indians – including three Afghan nationals and two suicide bomber – were sent to hell,” the statement said.

He added that a disinfection operation was underway to eliminate any other “Khwarij sponsored by India” in the region. “Pakistan security forces are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism sponsored by the country’s Indians,” he said.

The army media wing has also said that Pakistan expects the interim Afghan government to respect its responsibilities and prevent its soil from being used for terrorist activities against Pakistan. Khwarij is the term used by the security forces to describe the agents of the TTP for their extremist ideology.

In addition, two terrorist hiding places in the south of southern Waziristan were destroyed when explosives stored inside have left for unknown reasons, killing six terrorists, including a foreigner and wounding 14 others, including seven Afghan nationals.

Local sources have declared that the TTP had used a primary school in Dwara Hebat Khel and an abandoned house belonging to Syed Rehman Abdul Khil in Tangi Badin Zai as hiding place. The two sites were supplied with a large cover of explosives, IEDs, grenades and rocket launchers.

Late Saturday evening, the explosives exploded, killing Inayatullah, Zakir, Noor Hameem, Saeed Afghani, Khair alias Umar and Shakir alias Maulvi.

The wounded included Ziauddin, Kasani (Afghan), Sohail alias Malangi Mama, Sagheer (Afghan), Shahi (Afghan), Yousaf Kaka, Saghar (Afghan), Watan Yar Sabir alias Mukhlis.

In a press release, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the security forces for a successful operation against the terrorists in Kulachi.

In the war against terrorism, he said, the whole nation stood with the security forces.

The Prime Minister reiterated the commitment to completely eliminate all forms of terrorism in the country.
