- Acer Connect M6E 5G provides 28 hours of active use without frequent charging interruptions
- Its IP68 rating provides protection against dust and temporary immersion in water
- Wi-Fi 6E and 2×2 MIMO reduce congestion in crowded environments
Acer has launched a mobile Wi-Fi device in the UK to address inequalities in access to stable internet connections in dense cities and remote areas.
Available from £199.99, the Acer Connect M6E 5G is designed for business travelers, event production teams and hybrid workers who can’t rely on spotty public Wi-Fi or fragile consumer hotspots.
This device enables seamless movement between environments by eliminating manual vendor switching, especially during travel or field operations.

Designed for durability and extended use
The M6E is designed to survive conditions that would destroy most consumer networking equipment.
Its IP68 rating means the device is completely dustproof and can withstand submersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.
An 8,000 mAh battery provides up to 28 hours of active use, enabling a full day of productivity without searching for power outlets – and when it runs out of power, it supports fast charging via the USB-C port, minimizing downtime between work sessions.
“The Acer Connect M6E 5G is more than a convenience; it’s a productivity insurance policy,” says Darren Calow, accessories and gadgets business development manager at Acer UK.
“For the nomadic worker or event team operating in high-pressure environments, it offers the freedom of a private, secure, ultra-fast 5G bubble that fits in a pocket.”
On the connectivity front, the M6E leverages Wi-Fi 6E technology, including the 6GHz band and 2×2 MIMO, to reduce network congestion in congested environments.
The device can support up to 20 connected devices simultaneously, allowing entire event teams to stay online through a single unit.
The device supports both physical SIM technology and virtual SIM technology, eliminating the need to swap cards when crossing borders.
It also supports SignalScan, which allows it to automatically identify and connect to strong 5G signals in 135 countries.
A rugged mobile router with a 28-hour battery sounds ideal on paper, but the real test is how it performs in the specific environments Acer markets it for.
NFC touch login allows Android users to bypass password entry, providing practical convenience when onboarding clients or colleagues who need immediate network access.
Security features include WPA3 encryption, built-in firewalls and VPN support, helping protect sensitive data when operating on public mobile networks.
This device is designed for professionals who cannot afford connectivity outages during critical moments.
However, at £199.99, the M6E costs significantly more than a standard power bank paired with a basic hotspot.
So whether the ruggedness and all-day battery justify the premium price depends entirely on how often users actually find themselves working in puddles.
