The jury also found him not guilty for an additional chief of accusation of second degree sexual abuse.
“We recognize that there are those who fear individuals with celebrity status or a prominence position can avoid prosecution. Not in the County Clackamas,” said the prosecutor of the County County District, John Wentworth, in a statement, according to ESPN.
“This case shows that my prosecution is criminal proceedings, whatever the status of the offender community.”

The incident occurred in Lake Oswego, Oregon, in October 2021, when McLemore was identified as a suspect by the authorities after the complaint of the woman.
In February 2024, a great jury of the County Clackamas listened to evidence in the case, which included the testimony of the woman affirming that McLemore had attacked her. McLemore was arrested two months later by American marshals.

During the trial, Scott Healy, a County Prosecutor of Clackamas, told the jury that the woman passed out on a living room sofa around 2 am after drinking a lot. She found a partial conscience the next morning, when McLemore penetrated her sexually with her fingers and then had sex with her.
The Mclemore lawyer team challenged the assertions, saying that she had initiated sexual contact and agreed. Lawyers also said that the woman was sober enough to consent to sexual contact.
McLemore, a Kansas product, played nine seasons in the NBA, five with the Kings of Sacramento, who took it seventh in the general classification of the NBA 2013.
