The mysterious disappearance of former NFL player Sam Beal has entered its 7th month, as the spotlight now focuses on the last person known to have had a conversation with him.

According to reports from the DOJ’s National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), Beal was last spotted on July 12, 2025, after taking his girlfriend home.
Beal had the car for a while that morning, he mentioned he was leaving for work but instead drove it towards Virginia Beach.
His car was later discovered by a family member. Inside, investigators located Beal’s shoes and socks lying on the front passenger floor, along with sand, raising eyebrows about his last movements before his disappearance.
Authorities have not mentioned the identity of Beal’s girlfriend in official reports, but law enforcement has ruled out her involvement in any wrongdoing.
But all the spotlight is on her, as she was the last known person Beal made contact with.
She reportedly received a phone call from him the next day, in which he told her he was in Virginia Beach and hoped to return home.

On January 12, 2026, Beal’s sister, Essence Zhane, posted a public plea on social media, sharing information obtained from the missing persons report released by the NamUs, interviewing anyone with information that could lead to the discovery of her brother.
She wrote: “Tomorrow will be seven months since we last heard from or saw my brother. »
