Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., had a much-scrutinized moment Wednesday night during CNN’s town hall with Bernie Sanders, when the congresswoman explained why she thinks Republicans are having more success gaining support from young men.

“They are able to radicalize, target, and exploit a generation of young boys, in particular, away from healthy masculinity and toward an insecure masculinity that requires domination of others, who are poorer, browner, darker, or a different gender than they are,” Ocasio-Cortez responded, sparking backlash on social media.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., an SEC championship-winning football coach who has coached at the high school and college level for 40 years, responded to PK Press Club Digital when asked for his reaction to Ocasio-Cortez’s statement.

“When I was a coach, I taught my players that our country is the greatest country in the world and that if you work hard, there are no limits to what you can achieve, no matter what you look like. Unfortunately, woke Democrats have spent the last 20 years telling young men that they are ‘racist,’ ‘sexist,’ and ‘toxic’ simply because they are men,” Tuberville said.

“But it didn’t stop there: Democrats tried to block men from getting jobs simply because of their skin color and also tried to baselessly cancel them during the ‘Me Too’ movement. It’s no wonder that more than half of young men in this country voted for President Trump in the 2024 election. If Democrats don’t stop demonizing men, they may never win the election again. elections. “

Tuberville, considered a leader among men during his coaching career, helped guide several successful players in college football and the NFL. Those players include quarterback Jason Campbell, running backs Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown and cornerback Carlos Rodgers.

DEMOCRATIC PARTY STANDS TO REPAIR IMAGE AS MEMBERS RECOGNIZE PARTY’S “LOSS OF CREDIBILITY”

A September report from Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) found that several indicators “point to substantial Republican gains among Generation Z,” noting in particular that Democratic registration among young men has declined significantly compared to young women. The report finds that the Democratic registration rate among young white men, historically around 49 percent, has fallen to 29 percent.

A PK Press Club analysis of voters for the 2024 election found that 55% of men voted for President Donald Trump and 53% of men ages 18 to 44 voted for Trump, while 57% of men over 44 also voted for Trump.

The Associated Press found that while more than half of male voters under 30 voted for Trump over former Vice President Kamala Harris — including about six in 10 white voters supporting Trump — about a third of black voters supported Trump, as did about 50 percent of younger Latino voters. Support for Trump among young Black and Latino voters jumped about 20% from his 2020 support, the AP reported.

Democrats Americans are spending $20 million on a study examining how to talk to “American men” after losing ground demographically in the 2024 election cycle, The New York Times revealed in May.

The project, titled “American Men: A Strategic Plan,” will “study the syntax, language and content that attract attention and virality in these spaces” from male voters.
