The security forces killed four terrorists belonging to “Fitna-Al Khawarij” during an intelligence operation carried out in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Swat district, the inter-service public relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
The ISPR press release said the operation was carried out on April 18 on the basis of credible intelligence which indicated the presence of KHWARIJ in the region.
The security forces managed to aim for the Khwarijs hiding place, leading to the death of four people identified as members of a prohibited terrorist group. Weapons and explosives have also been recovered from the site.
The ISPR said the terrorists killed were involved in multiple sabotage acts in the region.
A clearing and disinfection operation is underway in the region to eliminate remaining threats.
The army has reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating the threat of terrorism and maintaining peace in the country.
Previously, the security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Maddi region in the Dera Ismail Khan district, Inter-ISPR announced on Thursday.
The operation, launched on April 16, followed confirmed information on the presence of activists in the region.
An exchange of fierce fire committed suicide, leading to the death of the four terrorists, who would have been linked to several attacks in the region.
Weapons and ammunition have been recovered from the site, according to the ISPR.
During the fire, the 23 -year -old Siddic Siddic Bastoy of the district of Attock, kissed martyrdom.
The ISPR congratulated his bravery, declaring: “Having fought valiantly, [he] paid for the ultimate sacrifice and kissed Shahadat. »»
