In a tragic incident in the Balutchistan Kalat district, an improvised explosive device (IED) placed by road exploded, killing four people, including women and children, and injuring five others, local media reported on Thursday.
According to samples sources, the explosion occurred near Kabuto, completely destroying the passing vehicle. The explosion resulted in the immediate death of two women and two children, while five others were injured.
The deceased bodies were transported to the district headquarters (DHQ), while the injured were referred to a Quetta hospital for additional treatment.
This attack occurred only a few hours after the security forces thwarted a major terrorist land in the Balutchistan Noshki district, where four suicide vests were seized by intelligence agencies.
The vests had been hidden in a large bag inside a pile of waste near the diversion road, near the house of the assistant commissioner. The bombs elimination team managed to neutralize explosives.
