On Wednesday, four people were killed and four other people were injured in a road bomb explosion in the Pewar Sharamkhel district, Parachinar, in the Kurram district, in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) district, the police announced.
District police officer (DPO) Malik Habib confirmed the victims and said that a police team launched an investigation into the explosion website.
The deceased was identified by heads of the head office of the District of Parachinar (DHQ) such as Nawab Ali, Amir Hussain, Hidayat Hussain and Manzar Ali.
Medical Superintendent Mir Hassan Jan said that the wounded – Muhammad Konain, Shafaat Hussain and Hassan Ghulam – received first aid at DHQ Parachinar and then moved to Peshawar for specialized treatment.
Two horses were also killed in the explosion. The explosion occurred while the victims, as well as their horses, headed for a neighboring hill to recover the firewood, according to Ghulam, one of the wounded.

The former tribal firmly condemned the incident, calling for immediate arrests and a high -level survey. “Such acts aim to sabotage peace efforts in the region,” said an elder.
Violence in the tribal belt has jumped in recent months. In December, more than 100 people were killed during tribal clashes in Kurram.
The region was cut for weeks after attacks against convoys.
