At least four people were killed and eight others injured when a truck overturned near the village of Melowal, near Bhalwal, emergency services said on Thursday.
According to emergency services 1122, the truck was transporting fodder and had 12 workers on board at the time of the accident.
The vehicle reportedly lost its balance and overturned on the side of the road, trapping several people underneath.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene and launched an operation to evacuate the victims. Four people were pronounced dead at the scene. The bodies and injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Bhalwal for treatment.
The condition of some injured people is said to be serious, according to hospital sources.
