At least four people, including three members of the body front (FC) and a driver, were martyred when activists opened fire on their vehicle in the Karak district of Kyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
The attack occurred in the Aman Kot Towi region, in the jurisdiction of the Gurguri police station, when FC officials were on the road for security rights.
The armed attackers, positioned at the top of a hill, launched an attack, causing intense shots and the immediate death of the four on board.
The SP Karak survey, Ashfaq Khan, confirmed the deaths and said that the four bodies had been transferred to the hospital.
The security forces and the police have quickly completed the area and a research operation has since been launched in the surrounding areas to trace the attackers, said DPO Karak.
The Federal Interior Minister Mohin Naqvi condemned the incident, paying tribute to Lance Naik Mehmood Shah, Sepoy Shahid, Sepoy Rauf and the driver Shahpur, who were martyred in the exercise of their service.
He expressed profound condolences to bereaved families, declaring that their sacrifices strengthen the determination of the nation against terrorism.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, also condemned the attack and ordered the authorities to apprehend officials.
He extended solidarity to the families of the martyrs and honored the sacrifices of the security forces.
