DG Khan:
On Sunday, Punjab police conducted a major operation against the agents of TTP outlaws in DG Khan and killed four alleged terrorists.
According to a statement, police received information on the Daulat Wala Mor terrorist movement, located in Kot Mubarak, a border area between Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Terrorists would have set up illegal checkpoints in the region.
Later, the Punjab police and his elite teams quickly moved, while the commander of the Border Military Police, Asad Khan Chandia, sealed the entrance roads in the tribal area.
The police then surrounded the terrorists and launched an operation, during which an intense fire exchange took place. TTP agents, strongly armed, attacked police teams, but the Punjab police responded “with a timely and effective action, thwarting their harmful plans”.
In the operation, four men TTP were killed, while several others were injured.
According to the Punjab police spokesperson, the remaining terrorists used the coverage of the darkness, the bushes and the dunes to flee the premises. The police recovered weapons and explosives from the possession of deceased terrorists. A research and scanning operation is underway in the area after the meeting.
President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the law enforcement organizations to “eliminate four Khawarij during an operation at DG Khan”.
