PANJGUR:
Security forces carried out an intelligence operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district on December 26 over what the army described as the reported presence of militants linked to an “Indian proxy group”, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
According to the statement, security personnel attacked the scene during the operation and an exchange of fire took place, leading to the death of four suspected militants. The ISPR said arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered, adding that the individuals were “involved in terrorist activities in the area”.

The army further said that disinfection operations were underway in the surrounding areas.
The operation, he said, is part of the ongoing anti-terrorism campaign carried out under ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’, approved by the federal committee in charge of the National Action Plan.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the role of security personnel involved in the Panjgur operation and expressed support for continued action against what he called militant networks and their facilitators. Naqvi said the government and security agencies would continue these efforts with public support.
