Prime Minister Shehbaz and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulate security forces on successful operation
Security forces kill four terrorists affiliated with banned ‘Indian proxy’ Fitna al-Khwarij” carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Army’s media wing said on Thursday.
Fitna al-Khawarij is a term the state uses to refer to terrorists affiliated with the banned group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
According to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation took place during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, following reports of the presence of militants.
On the night of February 18-19, 2026, security forces conducted an intelligence operation in Lakki Marwat district, following the reported presence of khwarij belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij.

“During the conduct of the operation, our own troops actually engaged in combat. khwarij place and after an intense exchange of fire, four khwarij were sent to hell,” the statement said.

The ISPR added that arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who it said remained actively involved in many terrorist activities in the region.
He further said that disinfection operations were underway to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists found in the region.
“The relentless anti-terrorism campaign being carried out by the security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan under the ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ vision, as approved by the Supreme Federal Committee on National Action Plan, will continue in full swing to eliminate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country,” the statement added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated security forces for the success of the operation.
According to a statement issued by the press wing of the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the security forces were achieving significant successes in the fight against terrorism. He reaffirmed the government’s determination to completely eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.

The Prime Minister further said that the entire nation stood with the armed forces in the war against terrorism and remained committed to ensuring lasting peace and stability in the country.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the brave security personnel for carrying out the quick and efficient operation.
He praised the professionalism and courage demonstrated by the forces, saying the entire nation viewed their actions with appreciation and pride.
Naqvi stressed that with the support of the nation, terrorism would be completely eradicated and no leniency would be shown towards the enemies of the state.
